All history is suspect. At least recent history has more scrutiny and variability. The bible is far too flawed and absurd to take serious as recorded history.
You keep saying that but you NEVER show how it is flawed and absurd. I am beginning to think you can't.
I am certain there are multitudes of bible fundamentalists out there that know in their heart of hearts that their belief system at the very least is questionable, but being so deep into it, it is such a huge undertaking for them to escape it, but escape it they must. Those of us here who were immersed in it like them, cannot remain quiet or go soft on the dangers of it, and need to expose it for what it is at every chance and to show there is life outside of it, regardless of whether you remain in the faith or not. For as far as i am concerned, i would rather be in unbelief than be immersed in something that took something away from me instead of changed me for the worse not the better.
I'm not and i have been it it for about 45 years.
Why don't you expose what is wrong with my theology?
One of you main problems is that you do not understand what fundamentalism is, and I believe you are afraid to learn what it is.
It is also arrogance on your part to think fundamentalist are notable to judge and evaluate what they believe.
It depends what is questionable, I never doubted Christ, I began doubting the strange doctrines I had given myself over to which I became ensnared by before I knew it. I think I said to you before, it is more about letting go of beliefs than accumulating and adhering to them.
What were 2 or 3 of these strange doctrines? Maybe you just didn't understand them.
