The instructions she got were identical to a priest who is getting ready to serve, and change his garments. A person fasting is told to wash their face and anoint it with oil. The fact she obeyed and chose an old man, meant that all respect of persons (choosing what she couldn't see as opposed to what she could, exactly the opposite of Eve) had been overcome and she was obedient to the Spirit and not the lusting of the flesh for money/mammon/self gain or the lust of the flesh for youthful vigor of a mate.

There's a lot more to be gleaned if you look up the Hebrew word meanings, too. Peace
Amen.
Thankyou R. Blessings always.

Titus 2King James Version (KJV)

2 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

And if I may offer a mans perspective.
Naomi is Like an angel who already knew Ruth had given birth to a son.
And Ruth being afar could see the Light. So when Naomi began heading toward the same light Ruth saw. She by no means could be disuaded to stay where she was.

You know the Dream you had better than me.
The one of the man and the woman.

I do believe in the Trinity. You have to learn to separate Jesus from Christ. During His incarnation, Christ as God had His Godly attributes inactive. Jesus was not omnipotent, omniscient nor omnipresent.

Ruth was a foreigner and a non Israelite. Yet she left her own people to live among the Isrealites. It was taboo then for a foreigner to marry an Israelite. Ruth future descendants included King David, Soloman and Jesus Christ.
