Jesus said that sinners are sick and unhealthy and need a doctor, but people won't come to Dr. Jesus to be delivered. Has Jesus cured your disease or did you find a quack who left you still sick? The devil is a good quack.
Relax. We're on the same page on that. I just disagree with the methodology of the hateful street preachers who were supposedly showing forgiveness and love.
You people would call Jesus an extremist too. Matter of fact, the Jews crucified Jesus because they thought He was an extremist simply because He proclaimed the truth.

Actually...no. The "righteousness" of the scribes and pharisees was a "righteousness" based on observance of the Mosaic Law. The problem is that no one is really righteous that way, as no one can obey it perfectly. The righteousness that saves is the righteousness Jesus gives us when we trust in him.

And, when we trust in Him we love Him. And, when we love Him we will keep His sayings. Therefore, we conclude that sin, i.e., adultery, fornication, lying, drunkiness, reveling, etc..., is a byproduct of not loving Jesus; it's a heart problem. That's why circumcision of the heart is needful.
