exactly! if we are to follow Jesus teachings and examples. as those who did in and after his time, which didn't get involved with things of the world. just as Jesus and his didn't ,(John 17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world). then neither should his true followers.

it would show if we were part of satan!... world, then we don't really love the Father, Jehovah God as well as Jesus, who showed us how to spiritually walk ,(1John 2:15-17 (NLT) Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever).

Is there anything you do at all that Jesus didn't do?

Do you surf the 'net? Go to movies? Watch t.v.? Keep food in a refrigerator? Use electricity at all? Indoor plumbing? Ride in a car or even on a bike? Trains, planes? Do you own anything at all, or work at a job or are you afraid you'll take pride in that?

Just curious how you determine what is "of the world" and physical pleasure, and what is not? It must get tiring trying to draw boundaries of "this is okay, but that isn't".

While folks spend gobs of time reviewing every action under the sun, and inspecting every occurrence through the day, time passes by, and opportunities are lost. At the end of the day, do you spend more time on the internet (with electronics), or spend quality time with others (with life)?

Jesus spent his time either with people, or communing with the father. It's easy to forget that in this day of technology. We are and will be accountable for our short time on earth.

Thanksgiving is a blatant disregard for cultural differences and how the stranger exploited their host.

Prov. 25:17 "Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee."

Advice the English invaders should have followed had they truly established a relationship with God.
Are you preaching this at the street corners?
