What's interesting is that I see very little hatred of Christians from non-Christians. I see much more hate exhibited towards the "wrong kind of Christian" from other Christians.
I dont either, even in my small hometown, there are plenty of churches, Baptist, Christian, Catholic, Lutheran, etc. They are ALL very well respected by the secular city.
Imo, that means something is off, if religious groups are not hated and despised, its likely they are compromising, especially in the world today!
On the other hand, if we really want to find those who truly are hated and despised by the secular, it wouldnt take long to find a few, Westboro Baptist comes to mind first, In order to be hated and despised they would have to be doing or saying things the secular does not like or agree with.
If we really needed to know about the thoughts and moods of other towns, the details would have been included in the text/scripture. That it isn't is probably a subtle hint to move on and not be concerned with it.
Jesus did say that His followers would be hated of all nations.
Matthew 24
[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Poor mother nature, she only gets the blame for beauty, like a sunset, never really gets blamed for a disaster as that is always called "an act of God".
At least by the insurance companies that don’t want to pay out...
And, we can read Jude 7 and see it was also sexual perversion.
Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.
So, the person who wrote Jude gets to correct G-d?...
The word Elohim which is the word God in Hebrew, is a plural noun, but is not intended to be used as a plural unless the associated words to indicate it. When it is used of God it always includes singular modifiers. It has no plural meaning on its own.
It is like the word "deer" in English. A plural noun but if you say "look at that deer" it means something different than "Look at those deer".
He trusted fundamentalists who are obsessed with sin to do it for him.
They are obsessed with sexual sins having a one-track mind.
