Matthew says that there were many women at the cross of Jesus, but according to Matthew, only two of those women were named MARY, and they were Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James and Joseph, the two brothers of Jesus who were born of the same womb as he, and we know that James the brother of Jesus was sired by Alphaeus, who is also called Cleophas.

Matthew then goes on to reveal that they were the only two among those many women, by the name Mary, who witnessed the burial, when he says in 27: 61; Mary Magdalene and the 'OTHER' MARY, were sitting there facing the tomb.

I am assuming that you are intelligent enough to understand, that by saying the 'OTHER" MARY, Matthew is referring to the only 'OTHER' woman by the name MARY who was at the cross of Jesus, and that 'OTHER' woman by the name Mary, was the mother of Jesus, James, and Joseph.

Matthew reinforces the fact that he is only referring to two women by the name Mary, at the cross, burial and empty tomb of Jesus, and not three or four, by stating that at the empty tomb, were MARY Magdalene, and the 'OTHER' woman by the name Mary, and not the other women (Plural).

Mark doesn't even mention the fact that there were any women at the cross of Jesus, but he does reveal in 15: 47; that Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph the brother of Jesus, were watching and saw where Jesus was buried. Mark then goes on to reveal that at the empty tomb there were three women, but only two of those women were named Mary, and they are Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James the brother of Jesus.

Luke does not name the women a the cross or burial of Jesus, but he does name the only two women by the name Mary at the empty tomb in 24: 10; and they are Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of James the brother of the Lord, who was sired by Alphaeus, who is also called Cleophas.

John 19: 25, reveals who those two women at the cross of Jesus named Mary were, and they were the Mother of Jesus, who had married Alphaeus/Cleophas the father of James the younger, the brother of the Lord, and her sister, Mary Magdalene.

John 19: 25; RSV, "Standing close to the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas and Mary Magdalene.

Only two women by the name Mary, at the cross, the burial, and the empty tomb of Jesus, and they were his mother the wife of Cleophas and Mary Magdalene.

Who was the first man, to whom the risen Jesus, appeared? Answer.....Cleophas who is also called Alpheaus.

Why did Jesus, while hanging on the cross and knowing that he could no longer care for his Mother, who had a husband, four other sons, and daughters, then entrust her into the care of his beloved disciple ‘John?’

Want to try answering that old mate.
