Delumundo. Have YOU read YOUR bible? I cannot believe that if you truly KNOW our loving LORD and SAVIOR that you would speak to her like that about infant baptism. She wasn't asking our opinion about whether to baptize an infant or not, just for advice on a present!
Over and over God's Word says, if we have not love our religion is nothing. He commands us to love one another. 1 Corinthians 8:1 says, "We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. The man who think he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God."
God does not want us to quarrel and divide over issues/differences that are not crucial to the faith. We should be in complete agreement, however, on the essentials of Christian doctrine (Jesus died on the Cross to save us from our sins, the Trinity, The Bible as the infallible Word of God, God-breathed etc.) I will pray for you that you will allow the Holy Spirit to work through you and that instead of judging others you will just them love. Read Romans 12. I love God's Word so much and rely on it for daily- sometimes hourly, sustenance.
As a godparent you are required to pray for her life to receive from Christ the blessing that God can give to her through out her youth , .... So one gift which you could give her is a Bible with her name in it , and your name as a gift for her life ,.....See a bible in her room would give her the access of God Word which can turn out to be a blessing from heaven
