I agree with you, that God does not love the sin that we do and that He hates that we are workers of iniquity, deerdog, but He still loves us, the sinner. The sinner is lost and is enslaved to sin, helpless. He does not love that we are sinners, no, but He loves sinners. If He did not love us when we were sinners, He would have never given His Son to die for us, to deliver us from its power. For God so loved the world, deerdog... God bless.

Psalm 5:5 tells us that God hates all workers of iniquity

Romans chapter 5 verse 8 God demonstrated His love towards us in while we yet sinners (workers of iniquity) Christ died for us.
