actually Jesus was dead and risen already when paul wrote..but that doesnt matter, the point is that God has a chosen remnant[election of grace] at any given time..

What do you mean it doesn't matter? How can it not matter?! I guess that Paul was a moron and didn't really mean "at this present time"! People always scream at me to put stuff in context...well the context at the time was the people whom Paul was writing to at the time...the present time...not the future time.

Friend of sinners

So you pretty much know who the sinner is and even stamp a name on him, Camps?

33For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, 'He has a demon.' 34The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners." ' 35But wisdom is proved right by all her children."

No i am identifying myself with the very same people who the Pharisees and scribes associated Him with .

This is the Bono syndrome, Camps.

Identifying yourself with the so-called "sinners" and the moral-high-ground mileage you're extracting out of it is a form of Phariseeficity too

You're suffering from an acute strain of i-am-a-nice-manitis

He's really good at this, Camps

Some Bono for your amusement

U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday (Disclaimer: I'm not bashing Sunday , Bono did)

I cant believe ye folks today
Oh, I cant close my eyes and make it go away
How long...
How long must you post this way?
How long? how long...

cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...

Broken bottles under sinners feet
Fundies strewn across the threads and the street
But I wont heed the Pharisee call
It puts my camp up
Puts my camp up against the wall

Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday (sunday bloody sunday...)
(allright lets go!)

And the flaming's just begun
There's many banned, but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And hookers, stoners, judges, sinners torn apart

Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday

How long...
How long must you post this hate?
How long? how long...

cause tonight...we can be as one
Tonight...
Tonight...

Sunday, bloody sunday
Sunday, bloody sunday
