Stop this nonsense that we are poor low down miserable sinners in the eyes of our Heavenly Father in whom we all live and move and have our being,repentance begins when the goodness of God is made known to us(Romans 2:4),not when you realize what a worthless worm you are,it's by believing such nonsense that we act it out.
Christianity needs to repent for putting forth a god that created man in his own image and because man fell short of his expectations sends him into eternal torment.

Who mentioned anything about ignoring sin ?. As a believer your focus,attention and desire should not be on sin or sin in your neighbor. Make the Grace and love of God the big deal will ya,and not sin,for it is the goodness of God that causes a man to repent .

But, this is the way churches keep their coffers filled and keep people from finding out the truth about God and who they truly are...they have to incessantly pound into them that they are worthless sinners. If people no longer believed that about themselves, there would not be any need for them so they have to make sure people feel miserable and worthless.
