No . . . it is called "inspiration" . . . and that is not verbal. We experience it even today . . . in secular things that have led to great scientific discoveries. IT always requires the mind receiving the inspiration to interpret it into verbal descriptions and explanations using the existing knowledge and understanding available to the receiver.

If you study the doctrine of "Conditional Immortality" will see the lost are destroyed (not forever tormented.) They suffer for their sins, then are cremated. Their soul is destroyed (Matt. 10:28)

Why Conditional Immortality is true and biblical for more info.

Why do you believe it is necessary for them to suffer before they die? Go you believe God desires them to suffer before they die? Do you believe that their suffering will in any way please God, when we know that he takes no pleasure even in the death of the wicked?

"So eternal doesn't really mean eternal?"

You'd be surprised.

I've looked up "eternity" and all related words and I've one of the definitions to say

A very long time

or something to that effect which doesn't necessarily mean what we usually hold "eternal" or "eternity" to mean.

Cool Hell.....

Separating fire from Hades and or hell, the Bible says: "Death and Hades were hurled into the lake of fire."

"The lake" mentioned here is symbolic, since death and hell (Hades) that are thrown into it cannot actually be burned.

"This lake of fire means..... the second death"—death from which there is no hope of coming back to life.—Revelation 20:14.

As does Gehenna, the lake of fire symbolizes eternal destruction.

Death and Hades are "hurled into it "....in that they will be done away with..... when mankind is freed from sin and from the condemnation of death.

Willful, unrepentant sinners will also have their "portion" in that lake. (Revelation 21:8)

They too will be annihilated forever and have Eternal Destruction.

Is this a quote from the NRV bible(NEW RAZZEL VERSION), because i certainly do not see most of what you wrote in the verse you claim it is a quote of ...

The words ...

Quote:
"death from which there is no hope of coming back to life"
... do not anywhere appear in revelations.

Revelation 21:8
"But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

The second death:

Jesus clarifies the matter, saying: “Lazarus has died.”—John 11:1-14.

“Lazarus, come on out!” And Lazarus comes out. The man who had been dead for four days has been resurrected.—John 11:38-44.

“if Christ has not been raised up,” says the Bible, “your faith is useless.” (1 Corinthians 15:17)

Jesus said: “Just as the Father raises the dead up and makes them alive, so the Son also makes those alive whom he wants to.” (John 5:21)

As for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all,” states the Bible.

“The sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Hades gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. And death and Hades were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-14)
ETERNAL DESTRUCTION-

ETERNAL DESTRUCTION-

Ecclesiastes 9:5 only proves there is no "hell" after we die ... It does nothing to prove what you said about "death from which there is no hope of coming back" ... As a matter of fact everything you posted above seems to me to only disprove your argument. That is other than your quote "eternal destruction" which is "Olethron Aionion" in the Greek and should be translated "destruction pertaining to the age". Of Course all the warriors and defenders of the gates of hell and eternal torment will not accept this.
