Regarding the question about earthquakes being the effect of sin. Go back to Genesis and read your Bibles:
The punishment of mankind.
Genesis: 3
God put marks of displeasure on Adam. 1. His habitation is cursed. God gave the earth to the children of men, to be a comfortable dwelling; but it is now cursed for man's sin. Yet Adam is not himself cursed, as the serpent was, but only the ground for his sake. Would you like me to continue?
So what you saying here is that earthquakes only started AFTER Adam sinned? Before that no such thing existed?

I was answering the question that was previously asked regarding earthquakes and sin. But God was the beginning of all things. Read Genesis and we will talk later.
I have to go, have dinner to cook, kids to attend to. I will be back later and answer more questions but perhaps another brother or sister of the Lord can answer where I left off.
So you are saying, your carnal side loves God? that your carnal side chooses God's ways?
I am saying that the Bible says that God died while we were sinners. What I am saying is that I cried out for God in the midst of my sin. I didn't know him yet but I acknowledged that He was the one who could save me from my carnal lifestyle. I asked Him to save me Fundy. I didn't hate God when I asked Him. I hated my lifestyle.
What is your point? Give me a scripture and verse that says that our carnal flesh HATES God. Maybe our flesh hates to be obedient but I am not getting what you are referring to and I need to go for now.
I don't claim to be a bible scholar. Scripture is my authority on the word of God. As far as the rest you wrote so what you are saying that since scripture is too difficult to comprehend in our finite state that you know I am wrong in claiming to know what scripture says but you know you are right in that we can't know what scripture says. If you can't know what scripture says then how do you we are wrong in our claim?
It's sadly amusing that you think you can properly interpret scripture and yet you completely misread my simple (by comparison) post. You are remarkably imperceptive....perhaps it is intentional??
I have no problem admitting that I am far from a full understanding of God. I suppose if he were to reveal himself fully it would be completely overwhelming. I know only what He reveals to me and you know only what He reveals to you. Granted, we may be in different places...you may have more understanding or you may be just foolish and arrogant.

Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.
That's just too easy... before sin, there was no death, and no earthquakes that would hurt anyone because *no one was there*.
you have once again mis-understood the post. He is saying before Adam and Eve disobeyed there was no sin, no death.. period, simple as that.
