But would it have that high of a GDP if NYC and Philly wasn't feeding it?????
Who cares! That seems to be NY & PA's problem, not NJ's.
NJ pays a hefty public relations penalty for being cunning & calculating, so I guess that makes NY'ers (to a FAR, FAR lesser extent Philly) feel better.
Either way..................... NJ has done more with less, yes, less than any other state. If NY & PA had its way, NJ would be dead in a ditch somewhere. Just some outpost (as they still attempt to portray us). We swim with the big sharks & come up good money on a regular basis. NJ has a bad reputation because we are the most Dominant Submissive (if you see it that way) state there is. We get ours regardless. If you truly understand the dynamics of this region, you would know why NJ is as prosperous as it is & why we have the bad reputation we have. New Jersey has to dive in head first, scratch & claw, fight, curse for everything we have.
NYC & (again to a lesser extent) Philly would swallow us whole & leave us for dead if given the chance. To see NJ as a leach is more than a mistake. We build under continuous pressure.
The minute we see our selves as "submissive" is the minute we become Detroit.
Northern half of Louisiana is submissive and the southern half is dominant.
Yeah, but in looking at a map as concerns the shape of Louisiana, it looks like the northern half is "dominant" and the southern half is "submissive."
Uh oh...only a warped mind like mine could come up with such sicko-sexual analogies!
Just kiddin' my friend, I see what you are saying and it makes very good sense.
