Thanks for reading. Some information about myself. I have a couple years to make this decision, just looking to get a head start. I'm looking for a place that is family friendly and has some good small towns within about 30-45 minutes to the actual city. I'm christian methodest, and go to church often. I love sports, college and professional. I'm looking to get a major in sports journalism or architecture, so if either place has a higher demand for either, that would be good to know. I love outdoors activities and beautiful scenery. I actually don't mind the rain that much, and humidity isn't too much of a problem. I don't like humidity, but I don't hate it and can live with it. My favorite time of the year is summer, specifically 4th of July. Also I would like a place that is dog friendly. Based on this info, which of these two cities would you say is best for me? Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any answers.

Ever been to south Florida in the summer?

Are you writing a book?

From your posts, you are considering moving to Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado and Washington. All are very different.

Seattle in July is breathtakingly gorgeous. This place is buzzing w/ outdoor enthusiasts. Bikes, kayaks, sail boats, and sea planes are out all summer long. Even in the winter & rain many people bike to work. Countless hiking trails, parks, and islands to explore on the weekends. VERY dog friendly, numerous dog parks.

Religion -- there are churches here, and many people identify as Christian, but religion is a very private matter. No one ever discusses their religion in normal conversation. We are considered to be one of the least religious cities in the U.S. So if that's a problem for you, then Seattle is not your place.

I've lived in Miami.
My DH is a Seattle native; we spend a lot of time there.
So, my opinion? Seattle, all day every day. I wouldn't even have to think about it for a minute.
