Yes, both are history.

Some random miscellaneous statement by a mayor is a historical moment, but doesn't constitute history in the way it's meant in this thread.
Not rarndom at all, but actually a fact.

And I wasn't just referring to Katrina, but also another devastating hurricane very early in NOLA's history. And if we shouldn't mention NOLA's obvious history, why do you go on to mention the obvious negative history of those other cities?
Go ahead, mention them. Nobody is stopping you.

Why does Chicago have three votes? I don't believe Chicago has that much negative history.

LA has mob ties too. Probably top 5 for most italian mobs.

And don't forget about SF and their asian/Chinese mobs.

Cali is not immune to them.

Unless there's been some radical definitions in the meaning of some basic words, then you're 100% wrong.

It was indeed random, LOL. You'd have more clout if you actually talked about his track record. THAT would be history.

You already did, but I don't know why since you said there's no need to mention the "logical" stuff.

Actually, I am 100% right. I would like to know how the location and the food of a city does not have to do with it's history.

Call it random "lol". Botton line is that it happened and it's a fact. Facts = history.

Everyone is aware Katrina happened.

I'm aware of this. That's why I don't consider them more admirable than hippies--who largely promoted a positive message.

New Orleans has nothing to be ashamed of with regards to its location and cuisine. Do yourselves a favor--ignore that one.

Something having to do with history and something actually being history are two totally different things. I swear, they can't even teach this stuff.

Sure. So I suppose one could cite the god knows how many seasons of "Jersey Shore" as "history" for NJ? Yeeeeaaaaahhhh...

Show me your source. And show me your source that everyone is NOT aware of the history you listed for those other cities.
