It's funny, you'll believe summersm343 numbers that because its all Philly Biased...but any Official source that put Pittsburgh over Philadelphia is somehow seriously flawed!!! again You Philly Boosters are Hilarious...Almost like the Tea-Party, you believe what you want to...You have your own sets facts.
So I post numbers from reputable sources, and they are biased to Philly now too?! Sooo all those publications and links about Pittsburgh's population and job numbers were actually posted by someone from Philly to make Pitt look bad? You are so funny. I am posting links, hard core facts, and it is hilarious that you are still arguing them. You are just blabbering nonsense and quoting wikipedia links as facts.

No, it's like saying there's a country aspect to nyc because of all the blacks who went there from South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia. Harlem and Bed-Stuy definitely have black American southern flavor, just like Chinatown and Crown Heights have their own ethnic flavors.

Steelers and Penquins fans are among the best and most loyal in the country. Philly has strong fan bases esp among the Eagles, Phillies and Flyers. Think is shades of grey, both are really strong in sports team support
My uncle is a Eagles fan but a huge Penn State fan first. Since he lives Houston I guess he's now a Texan or an A&M fan. (he didn't read this)

Penn State has a strong following all over PA (Actually even NJ and parts of NYC and DC (many alumni) oddly enough) including both Philly and Pittsburgh but in general the Steelers and Eagles trump college nearer the cities

Please your numbers have been debunked before..... You can always find numbers that point the way you want them to with heavy "caveat-ing" just like I put sources that shows Pittsburgh way ahead of Philly in economic vitality but somehow that unbelievable by Philly Boosters....Shocking

Both Steelers and Pens have far and away larger fan bases than either the Eagles or Flyers...Steelers and Pens have National and International followings.

Pirates and Phillies.....Phils have a strong base and does have a more recent championship....But I gotta tellya when the Phils aren't winning their true fan base doesn't seem so robust outside of Philly. But I'll give this to Philly, 20 years of losing is just too much to overcome for the Bucs.

Umm, am pretty positive I did, while it doesnt make the claim to be third largest it does make the claim to be home to 70 employees, larger than Oakland. Also 70K employees plus 50K students equals 120K.

plus I gave a link to C&W that is very reputable in terms of compiling office space figures. If you shun these then you must also shun your links as they absolutely no less reputable

Oakland and UCity are both large centers, Ucity appears larger based on reputable source (though doesnt make the marketing claim)

Haha. I already proved to you that outside of the Cathedral of Learning, UCity has overall taller buildings than Oakland. Also, they have the same number of buildings taller than 200 ft. Also, UCity is building WAYYYYYY more than Oakland, and there are plans for two buildings in UCity taller than The Cathedral, Cira South at 600+ ft and Cira II at 700+ ft. The Cathedral of Learning is the 7th tallest building in Pittsburgh at 535 ft. In Philadelphia, it would be the 14th, just behind City Hall. Pretty impressive for a city that has only had 25 years to build taller than essentially the height of the Cathedral of Learning. Yet Pittsburgh has had 87 years to build taller buildings than Philadelphia and still failed.

Tallest Buildings:

Philadelphia:

1. Comcast Center- 975 ft
2. One Liberty Place- 945 ft
3. Two Liberty Place- 848 ft
4. BNY Mellon Center- 792 ft
5. Three Logan Square- 739 ft
Philadelphia's tallest buildings - Top 20 | Statistics | EMPORIS

Pittsburgh

1. U.S. Steel Tower- 841 ft
2. One Mellon Center- 725 ft
3. PPG Place- 635 ft
4. Fifth Avenue Place- 616 ft
5. One Oxford Center- 615 ft

Buildings over 300 ft

Philadelphia: 68

Pittsburgh: 29

Buildings under construction over 300 ft:

Pittsburgh- 1
Tower at PNC Plaza- 545 ft

Philadelphia- 4
The Grove- 400+ ft

Temple University Morgan Hall- 312 ft- nearly complete

3601 Market- 309 ft

Buildings proposed to be constructed over 300 ft

Pittsburgh- nothing

Philadelphia- 12

W Hotel- 600+ ft

Castleway Tower- 525 ft

Renaissance Plaza- two 426 ft towers

CHOP Colket Translational Research Building- 400+ ft

1919 Market- 300+ ft

CHOP Schuylkill Avenue Complex- twoo 300+ ft towers

Sugarhouse Casino Hotel towers- two 300 ft towers
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_DTbnUSpnx9...use-casino.jpg

Also, when these two are built, University City will have two taller buildings than Oakland.

Cira Centre South- 600+ ft- depending on height, could be taller than EVERYTHING in Pittsburgh besides two buildings
http://planphilly.com/uploads/media_....501.480.s.jpg

...and Cira II- 700+ ft- again, depending on height, could be taller than EVERYTHING in Pittsburgh besides ONE building
http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k5...1/IMG_1365.jpg

Pittsburgh cannot compete with Philadelphia on highrises/skyscrapers... and Pittsburgh had an 87 year head start to build tall since you could not build taller than City Hall in Philadelphia until 1987, and Philadelphia is STILL outshining Pitt in the skyscraper/highrise category.

agree on the locations, stadiums are similar (love the PNC view though). Wells Fargo is superior to the the igloo
