I am a transplant from Miami to Philadelphia, and I found it shocking that there is not that many shopping option in this great city (aside of Rittenhouse Row). KoP is technically the burb, but still it does not have that many stores I saw down in Miami; both high end retailers (Prada, Gucci, Jimmy Choo) or urban hip stores (KidRobot, Commes de Garcons). For god sake, PA itself only has one Zara and one Diesel.

But aside of that, I still love Philly. And I cannot wait for all the developments going on in Market East - byut that's another topic altogether.
Right I was surprised by Philly shopping I'm from Miami and out of all the cities on the east coast NY is the only place that has better shopping. Miami is full of ultra high end shopping Atlanta can't hold a candle and doubt it can support as many high end shopping destinations Dallas is playing catch up to Miami Houston is playing catch up to Dallas and Atlanta is playing catch up to Houston

Since when does "capitol" mean it is superior? If Atlanta is a "capitol" then it means its what its thought of first or represents the imagegy and such of the South. Baton Rouge is the "capitol" of New Orleans but its not where the people flock to.

Just out of curiosity, why would shoppers from Chicago go to Indianapolis for a shopping mall?

Improper grammar makes sentences very hard to understand.

You're also making the statement people are "flocking" to Atlanta, when more people are flocking to other Southeastern cities (Charlotte).

Anyhow, we're off topic, so

Why would people from Detroit or Chicago travel to Indianapolis for luxury shopping?

I'm not srue how the tiers go. Philadelphia is not on Miami's level. But that's largely because of the high level Miami is at.
