Where are you getting that Miami Gardens is majority Haitian American? Besides, 1st gen Haitians retain their culture, the 2nd gen Haitians absolutely assimilated into the ADOS culture of Miami. Outside of them speaking creole, when they speak English, 2nd and 3rd gen Haitians sound and act no different from the ADOS of Miami. Did you see the video I posted earlier? That might be Belle Glade but that is similar to many parts of urban South Florida.
Again, you were wrong in stating this.
This is not factual and might I add, laughable. I been to restaurants where they eat fish and grits. Many "missionary" baptists churches littered around South Florida. Lazy tongue speaking folks who cut their words short. This exists in South Florida and you don't have to look to find it. I got fam and friends in what was known in Carol City that always looked at themselves as Southern. Sorry.

You're not familiar with my posts, so I'll gloss over your ignorance of my knowledge of anything regarding South FL. With that said Caribbean population and all, there's still more Southern Blacks in Miami/Broward than Northern Virginia. Now if your point were the rest of Virginia, we could begin to argue. But you simply don't realize anything about the Black population in NOVA if you think they are more "rural, southern, or country" (however you like to play it up, because I don't conflate those together) than South FL Blacks. Blacks in NOVA don't wear gold teeth, nor have deep southern accents.
But please, tell me more about how South FL has more “southern culture” than NoVa - lol.
I don't care about South Fla being more Southern than NOVA. I am discussing your nonfactual statement of there is no Southern culture at all in South Florida.

We're talking about the natives born and raised, not the immigrants. Local Miami is "MORE" southern than local NOVA. And by that we ain't talking Front Royal, VA mountains 2 hrs from DC.
Nobody said *anything* about southern culture being “wrong”. It’s just not prevalent in Miami’s metro, as evidenced by the statistic posted that greater than half of its inhabitants being foreign born.
Re: Santana Moss, African-American Vernacular English shares a large portion of its grammar and phonology with the rural dialects of the Southern United States. This is true for those who live in New York City, as well. It’s pretty widely known.

No, and now you’re trying to, once again, move the goal posts. We’re talking about area vs area and 100% of its inhabitants. Just like geographical boundaries, you don’t get to cherry pick who fits your narrative.

People love to discuss the large Caribbean population of Miami but like to ignore that there is still a large population of Southern Blacks in Dade/Broward/Palm Beach counties. The entirety of them.

Perhaps that’s because:
“The Miami metro area has the largest share of black immigrants. Thirty four percent of the black population in Miami are immigrants compared to 28 percent in New York and 15 percent in Washington.“

What??? So you're telling me Nicki Minaj sounds like the girls from City Girls? Or that Jay-Z sounds like the Rae Sremmurd kids? LOL.
South Florida has strong Southern culture. How is this even being argued against?
And this isn't just blacks either... Local whites are also typically of Southern culture. Most of the ones I have met (through work, college, kids' sports games, etc.) sound just like the DeerMeatForDinner guy. They listen to country/bluegrass. They ride giant buggies through swamps while out hog hunting (or hunting really whatever animal they run into.)
