Houston does do a good job hosting (much, much better than DFW) but head to head, NOLA wins hands down.

Well since you are in Baton Rouge voids your opinions. I prefer an outsiders "unbiased" opinion rather than a homer influenced answer which is all I'll get from you.

Yeah, but New Orleans, even with all the issues, even though it's not exactly the safest city in the world, STILL some how manages to bring in the most Super Bowls, so many Final Fours, and (as long as they have a basketball team) several NBA All-Star Games to come. And don't forget college football, their centerpiece of any sporting event that comes to town, with the Sugar Bowl and FBS National Title games. Even that irrelevant New Orleans Bowl is somethin' to mention.

Why on earth is Houston even in consideration? NOLA is party central. Houston is, well, Houston.

If you think you can't find anything to do in Houston, that's more of a YOU problem.

It's Houston. The 4th largest city in the country. You make it sound like Billings, Montana...

I wouldn't even consider the opinion of someone who reduces New Orleans to "party central". The city is soooo much more than that.

Considering it's that large, it can be boring.

For a boring person, maybe. I'm a native Houstonian who's been in this city for decades, and I still haven't explored everything we have here.
