Do some research. Massachusetts was the first state to abolish slavery and even that took some time to take effect.

Overall, Seattle is more diverse than people think in that a lot of ethnic groups are represented and a lot of languages are spoken. In fact, Seattle has the most diverse zip code in the Country: Seattle's 98118 zip code the most diverse in the country | KING5.com Seattle
I believe that the zip code for the Dorchester neighborhood in Boston is right up there as well: //www.city-data.com/forum/city-...-codes-us.html

Also, while this is pretty old now, if you look at about the 9th paragraph, Brockton had or has a higher Black household income than White household income: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/10/01/ny...anted=all&_r=0 I'm not sure if it means much, but it is generally rare. Interestingly, Randolph is just north of Brockton.

This has to be Boston by a long shot. Boston has a well-known and established and really HIGH west-indian population. ALOT of Haitians and Jamaicans in Boston. The city is a good 25% Black. Then there are plenty of African-Amerian artist, poets, athletes, musicians from the city of Boston.

Well, in the case of Americans of Cape Verdean descent, they're literally African-American.

Massachusetts abolished Slavery a full 9 years before the Constitution was fully ratified.

Who cares? Fact is, Boston has a bad reputation (real or imagined) throughout black America as a hostile place toward blacks. Boston may have the largest black population, but Denver & Seattle do not have such reputations.

Also, do Blacks visit these cities?

What the hell is that supposed to mean "Black presence?" That is so dumb to say that and i am a white person, what is your problem with other skins, just because they are a darker skin color doesn't mean that they are a bad person. In fact everyone is actually brown, it all depends on how much melanin is in your skin. So please think twice before you say something rude and offensive like that about other people. Did you know that there is over 1 billion dark skinned people in the world so thanks for offending 1/7 of the planet

Huh? I didn't think there was a negative connotation in regards to the question. I think it is a curiosity due to these 3 areas having a perception that they do not have large Black populations.
