DC is very unique and I see it get compared to lot of cities but not the opposite.

Which American city is most like DC visually, culturally and infrastructure wise?

I would say no other city has similar infastructure to DC after all its the nation's capital. I think the cities that are culturally the most like DC IMHO are Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Atlanta to a smaller extent.

Culturally, I'd say Atlanta. Visually, it's pretty unique in that regard.

I agree with the above responses no other city in this country is like DC. Culturally I guess Atlanta would make sense since both have a large AA population but other than that DC is in its own category.

Philadelphia, Baltimore, Boston and New York City (without the massive size)

A second Atlanta in terms of culture. Both are equally sprawling, humid as hell, about the same age, and around the same size. Both have great shopping and wonderful cultural amenities. Both are lush, have great parks, and lots of trees. The people in both cities could be rather materialistic, superficial, and overly image conscious. Both are diverse, have large African American communities, vibrant GLBT communities, and attract immigrants from all over the world. Both cities are among the worst in country in terms of traffic.

DC's Metro suburbs remind me of Buckhead and Midtown Atlanta, but the inner city is unique.

By inner city do you mean the city proper as a whole, or just the monuments and the Capitol downtown?

DC has no where near the amount of country one lane roads in the city or suburbs than Atlanta does.
