Not really. Chicago's skyline doesn't look anything like NYC's skyline.

The point is that people don't care about skylines, and that really only NYC (and maybe HK?) is so globally prominent in terms of skyline that people will recognize them (or at least guess incorrectly when looking at another skyline).

I know, I know. Sorry to have hurt your feelings, because none of my friends in Germany or China could name or recognize such a significant landmark of global significance as Alcatraz. Forgive us for being country simpletons.

AND AS A CITY,,,,,SF blows Chicago out of the water in almost every important category.. SF is consistently ranked #1 for Americas best city and has more of everything per capita than Chicago (google it lol) from bars to restraunts and activities and better weather, scenery, beauty and lifestyle. (IT JUST COST ALOT OF MONEY TO LIVE IT)

You telling me people around the world can't recognize this skyline?

Or this...

Or maybe this one. Trigger any lingering memories? Or maybe it's time to renew your passport?

first of all paris' skyline isn't in that pic, and secondly the pic of shanghai and Dubai aren't as universally known because they are new skylines.. do u think ur grandma or auntie wud recognize those cities before San Francisco???... I didn't think so the GGbridge alone is more known than those cities towers.. not everybody is skyscraper conscious, but ur grandparents and kids kno where the golden gate bridge is, but not the burj khalifa
