Both of these are an hour away from my hometown. Dixie Crossroads in Titusville is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. But, I'm going with Ocala. I prefer the old Florida vibe and it just has a more country feel.

Cape Girardeau, MO or Huntington, WV?

Cape Girardeau. It is close to family in Nashville and St. Louis. It has cleaned up over the years.

Des Moines, IA or Birmingham, AL?

Des Moines. More attractive downtown, better art and pop-culture scene.

Baton Rouge, La., or Lincoln, Neb.? (These two cities share the distinction of having the only state capital buildings built during the Great Depression.)

Lincoln... Baton Rouge certainly has a number of redeemable attributes but Lincoln would offer a higher quality of life from my POV.

Farmington, NM or Rapid City, SD?

Both places have definite appeal. I love New Mexico and Farmington must have milder winters; but I'll pick Rapid City because it seems more interesting as a city.

Which hometown of a couple of the Deep South's most well-known female authors:

Monroeville, AL or Milledgeville, GA?

Bonus points if you can name the authors

Fargo. I've been to both and liked Fargo a little better.

Albuquerque. I've always had a thing for New Mexico. Not saying that Omaha is bad since I've heard good things about it. Wildwood, NJ or Hilton Head, SC?

Hilton Head, SC. Stunning beaches. Love the tropical atmosphere. Beautiful area. Very friendly people. Laid back and relaxing.
