Chapel Hill. Incredible college town within an excellent metro area. Larger. But Chapel Hill and Charlottesville are both nice.

Albany, NY or Harrisburg, PA?

Albany due to size and location, but Harrisburg isn’t bad itself in terms of location and things it offers for its size.

Florence SC or Florence AL?

Caribou, Maine. I really like Maine, but Caribou is the last place I'd pick there. The weather in the winter is pretty extreme, the coldest place in New England, and it's isolated. But I'd still have reasonable access to the lower 48 and the more settled parts of Canada, which Alaska does not. For perspective Caribou to Miami is 28 hours. Seward, AK to Edmonton, AB is 37 hours and 45 hours to Seattle. That said, Seward is quite beautiful, stunning seaside setting with striking mountains coming right up to shore. If I had a boatslip and a fishing boat suited for deep sea fishing I might reconsider

Flagstaff, AZ or Santa Fe, NM?

Flagstaff... I visited it for a night last year with some friends and really enjoyed myself. Having the university in town along with it being just 2 hours from Phoenix make it all the more attractive as well.

Toledo, OH or Wilmington, DE?

Easy choice. Wilmington has a nicer more charming downtown. I also like that there are more seafood options for dinner.

Wheeling, WV or Jonesboro, AR?
