Ft. Worth. I would rather be in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area than the Raleigh/Durham area. Soooo much more to do. But I still like the Triangle Area.
Lakeland, FL or Galveston, TX?

Lakeland, FL easy decision. Even when I lived in Houston it was worth the extra couple of hours of driving to Port Aransas/Mustang island.
Pensacola, FL VS Oceanside, CA

Pensacola. I LOVE FL's beaches. Pensacola is much more affordable.

Reno. I like its western charm, the casinos give some nightlife & food variety, and CO Springs is too conservative for me.

Champaign is the superior town due to more developed culture and proximity to larger cities.
Durham, NC or Ft. Worth, TX?

Fort Worth. It's bigger and close to an even bigger city. Anchorage AK or Boise ID?

Boise for sure. It's one of the better small metros in the U.S. I would loathe living anywhere in AK. Very cold, very isolated, light/dark cycles.
Roanoke, VA or Altoona, PA?

Roanoke... bigger city/metro with a more diverse population.
Missoula, MT or Laramie, WY?
