Erie. Toledo is depressing and run-down even by Rust Belt standards.

Wichita Falls, TX or Rapid City, SD?

Olympia, Washington State is naturally beautiful, has legal bud, and Olympia is near Seattle which seems like a very cool city

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania or Cincinnati, Ohio?

Actually a really tough choice. I'll have to go with Cincinnati because it's closer to the south.

Chattanooga, TN vs. Asheville, NC?

I'd say Chattanooga TN because it is a little bigger and extremely conservative in politics. Asheville is a nice small city but Chattanooga has just more.

Greenwich CT or Thousand Oaks CA

I long to visit Thousand Oaks to see where the research books I used in school were published.

Anderson, SC or Lenoir City, TN?

Thousand Oaks, only because of the climate.

Orlando, FL or New Orleans, LA?
