Fort Smith. A little more freewheeling and at the southern tip of the Ozarks.

Lancaster, Pa., or Columbus, Ind.?

Lancaster is nicer. I like its scenery better too.

College Station. I passed through State College back in December and wasn't a fan of its isolated location - though the surrounding hills are beautiful. Plus I like warm weather.

Austin, TX or Pittsburgh, PA?

Austin, TX or Pittsburgh, PA?
Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is struggling in many ways. But it's got the best bones of any of the Rust Belt cities, IMO. Great food and wonderful downtown on the river. I don't hate Austin. I just find it way overrated for what it is. It's also has a higher cost of living than Pittsburgh.

Knoxville, TN or Harrisburg, PA?

Knoxville, TN or Harrisburg, PA?
Two nice towns. Knoxville was the capital of TN before Nashville. I would give Knoxville the edge for having a better metro and scenery. Harrisburg seems to have more projects going on downtown and growing faster.

Mason, OH or Fishers, IN?

Mason. I think that Cincinnati is a bit nicer vs Indianapolis and would rather be closer to that city. More scenic with hills and the Ohio River.

Dallas, TX vs Atlanta, GA?
