Having lived in Starkville, gotta go with Stillwater. Starkville isn't a bad little town, but it's really isolated. Stillwater is less than an hour from both Tulsa and OKC.

Pocatello, ID. Beautiful, near Twin Falls, and not as isolated.
Huntsville. I like the climate and better economy. Clarksville, TN or Jonesboro, AR?
