Danville, IL or Clemson, SC?
Clemson. It's in the Greenville/Spartanburg area and has beautiful natural surroundings. I also prefer SC to IL.

Greensboro, NC or Rochester NY?

Ames has Iowa State University.

Fort Collins still has a working streetcar line.

Fort Collins, then.

Minneapolis or St. Paul?

Minneapolis for sure. More things to do, not as run down.

Smyrna, GA or Arlington, TX?

Tupelo... seems a little bit more prosperous and is a little bit closer to cities of interest compared to Alexandria.

Brooklyn, NY or Dallas, TX?

Dallas, no contest. The Dallas area has a great quality of life. The NYC area has more than its share of issues and an atrociously high cost of living to boot.

San Antonio, TX or Kansas City, MO?

San Antonio. Both are great food cities but SA wins for weather and TX>Midwest.

Two places famous for their covered bridges:

Madison County, Indiana or Blount County, Alabama?

Madison County. Anderson is a fast growing satellite of Indy, and Ingalls on the SW corner provides a quick journey into the city, while you're not too far from another classic American town/small city as well: Muncie. Non-urban/inner suburban AL is too "rednecky" for me, and nearby Birmingham doesn't seem to offer quite as much as Indy, and I prefer the four seasons to be more equally balanced.

Cameron, LA or Mexico Beach, FL

Honestly, neither one but I guess Mexico Beach since Cameron is being battered by Hurricane Laura.
