Omaha. Kansas seems a little to extreme in terms of politics. Omaha seems like a nice underrated midwestern city with decent growth.

South Bend, Indiana or College Station, TX?

South Bend, IN

It is only about 90 miles to Chicago and very close to Michigan, which is a beautiful state ideal for exploring the Great Lakes. Closer to my Wisconsin relatives. Also has the sports & cultural events at Notre Dame. Summer heat is generally a little less severe. Probably better fall colors, too.

DeKalb, IL or Blacksburg, VA ?

Definitely Madison, an underrated midwest metro for sure. I like the lakes in the area and the museums.

Nashville, TN or Pittsburgh, PA?
