Evansville, IN or Cedar Rapids, IA?
I am sure Cedar Rapids is a fine place, but I am more familiar with Evansville. Evansville offers more than you might think a city of its size would in terms of cultural offerings and improving urban neighborhoods. Evansville is my choice.

Tulsa or Toledo

Toledo, but Tulsa isn't bad if you can overcome the flat wastelands that surround it. Not actual wasteland, but not exactly prime scenery either.

Concord, NH or Charles Town (not Charleston), WV

Concord. I could hang out at Lake Winnipesaukee. We actually looked at moving to Meredith, NH not far from Concord. Plus I want nothing to do with West Virginia.

Superior, WI or Kansas City, KS?

KCKS. I really like the KC metro. The Duluth/Superior area is a tad too cold, snowy, and cloudy for me.

Providence, RI or Eugene, OR?

Providence. Workaday yet very cool. Especially when they light the torches in the river on summer evenings.

Rehoboth Beach, Del., or Cape May, N.J.?

Cape May. Even though it's probably more expensive I'd choose Cape May because of its proximity to Philadelphia & the Jersey Shore.

How about some ghost towns...
Rhyolite, NV or Virginia City, MT?

Virginia City! I'd love to live in Montana.

Speaking of...Missoula, MT or Spokane, WA?

Spokane, WA

Close call. Missoula has better scenery in the immediate vicinity, but Spokane is still pretty good in that regard & is close to beautiful Lake Coeur D' Alene in Idaho. It is the larger city and I would be able to more easily make occasional excursions to the Seattle & Vancouver regions from there.

Pahrump, NV or Tehachapi, CA?

Not familiar with either place but I'd much rather live in Nevada than California.

Payson, AZ or Roswell, NM?

I'd go with Payson, AZ nice mountain scenery and not too far from Phoenix. Roswell is in the middle of nowhere.

Trinidad, CO or Rifle, CO?
