I've heard Franklin is really nice suburb, but I don't particularly like Nashville. I also prefer beaches to mountains, so Greenville (due to proximity to the ocean).

I know nothing about Winchester and I'm going there. Elko is super isolated, 3+ hours to any real city, and isn't particularly scenic or culturally interesting compared to the rest of Nevada.
Location: northern Vermont - previously NM, WA, & MA

Bronx, NY or Miami, FL?
Miami, more elbow room and better infrastructure for living.
Block Island. The novelty of Mac Island would wear off after the weekend. Then you're stuck on an island during the winter unless you take a snowmobile across and where are you going to go from there? If I'm stuck on an island I at least want to be close enough to civilization once I get off.

Columbia, SC or Fort Lauderdale, FL?
Block Island also happens to be fabulous. I like it more than Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket, awesome beaches there.
I'd pick Fort Lauderdale, more to do with an attractive beach.

Pawtucket, RI or Jamestown, RI?
Jamestown. If I were to live in RI, it would be for the immediate views of southern New England coastline charm. Jamestown definitely delivers in that regard.

Pawtucket, RI. Larger city and close to Providence. I'd rather be closer to a a city than to live on the coast

Detroit, MI or Little Rock, AR?
Detroit. I like it's metro area better and even though Detroit has its problems, it still has its history, sports, and big city amenities.
Ashland, OR or Saratoga Springs, NY?
