Vegas sounds like more fun due it's proximity to a bunch of national parks and forests but I think having greenery around would make everyday life much better in Charlotte. Charlotte wins.

St. Louis, MO vs. Jacksonville, FL

St. Louis by far. A beautiful (if a bit decaying) built environment, four season climate, interesting history, and no hurricanes!

Take two on mine:

Hartford, CT or Worcester, MA?

Worcester... It's a nicer city with better neighborhoods. Being less than an hour from Boston and Providence is a nice plus too.

Harrisburg, PA or Fayetteville, NC?

Harrisburg, and I'm surprising myself by saying that, for Pennsylvania's capital city seems smaller and sleepier than it ought to be. Maybe I'm selling Fayetteville short?

Bloomington, Ind., or Bloomington, Minn.?

Bloomington, MN due to its location in the MSP area.

Albany, NY or Scranton, PA?

Albany, a bigger city and steadily growing area that is close to mountains and the Bos-Wash corridor.

Omaha NE or Tucson AZ?

MD. I'd rather be in the Bos-Wash corridor. Plus I can't handle the weather in SC.

Grand Junction, CO or Reno, NV?

Grand Junction, CO - it's safer, it's in a better state and it's right in between two awesome areas- The Rocky mountains and the deserts of eastern Utah (Canyonlands and Arches)

Fresno, CA vs. Pueblo, CO

Pueblo. I'd rather live in CO than CA.

Detroit, MI or Charlotte, NC?
