Ballard/Seattle, without checking out Ballard specifically. Seattle is nice, with a cool climate, and while the Bay Area is tempting, it's just too much money..
Denver, Co vs. San Diego, CA
Denver. They're both expensive, so that cancels out for me. I like Denver's climate, more of a 4-season one. Other than the ocean (which I'd really miss if I were in Denver), there's more to do in Denver. They're both nice, just prefer Denver in this case.

I will ask again... Tupelo, MS or Duluth, MN
Duluth, well because its not in MS, but also on its own it looks like a very scenic area on the shores of Lake Superior and steep hills and also seems to have a vibrant little downtown.
St. Paul, MN or Spokane, WA?
