Birmingham. Nice architecture. Underrated.

Charleston, hands down. One of my favorite cities in the nation. The beaches, history, food, people, beauty. Love the place.

Grand Rapids, MI or Omaha, NE?

Grand Rapids. Less land locked. I'd rather live near the Great Lakes than be out in the plains, though Omaha is a pretty nice city.

Duluth, MN or Billings, MT?

That's a tough one. I guess Billings, it's growing a lot faster so it probably has more of a vibrant feel.

Laramie, WY or Houghton, MI?

Houghton, I guess, because Michigan > Wyoming, but once again, I really don't want either one..

Portland, OR vs. Santa Barbara, CA

Portland to live, Santa Barbara for when I need a sunny weekend vacation. I love the food, parks, and downtown in Portland.

Port Townsend, WA or Cannon Beach, OR?

Must I pick one?

I could happily live in either of these places, and they're quite similar in character - the only real difference is that one is its state's capital while the other has a bunch of huge mansions in it.

I think I'll pick the one with the state capital over the one with the mansions. Annapolis - at least for now. But I reserve the right to shuttle between it and Newport.

Columbia, Mo., or Columbia, S.C.?
