910,000? keep wishing, I've often wonder since New Mexico's existence, why it never has been a State where people move to in droves, the mountains are the only attractive parts of the State but not enough to entice tons of people to move there. Also probably more commuters from nearby New Mexico counties, than ABQ has combined with all it's "metro counties" Alamogordo's Holloman Airforce base, White Sands Missile range are all tied to Ft. Bliss meaning tons of military commuters- Las Cruces? it's no wonder the State of New Mexico was able to afford to expand I-I0- 3 lanes to El Paso. Sorry it's just the way it is.[/quote]

Area Name Total Anglo Black Hispanic Other
Texas 28,797,290 11,779,132 3,289,228 11,804,795 1,924,135

El Paso MSA 908,421 98,760 22,026 766,152 21,483

908,000 is pretty close to 910,000!

Another Central Avenue historic motel will be getting a mixed-use makeover. The University Lodge in Nob Hill will become The Avenue Hotel with a 3-story addition featuring space for a rooftop restaurant and brewery. The Mid-Century Modern exterior will get a fresh look, including neon accent lighting to play up its location on Route 66. The rooms will all be made over as well.

A mixed-use project will be coming to 4th Street as well, in Los Ranchos de Albuquerque.

Further north in the North Valley is the Orchards on the Alameda mixed-use project being planned by the developers of the Zocalo Lofts project.

A new, $9 million, 89-room Tru by Hilton hotel is planned for the North I-25 corridor. It will be the first Tru-brand hotel in New Mexico.

One Central downtown is nearing completion and it recently got its sign installed. The sign recalls the marquees of the heyday of Route 66 in Downtown Albuquerque. Leasing of the 68 apartments will begin later this month.

Sterling Downtown also recently celebrated its grand opening. The 107-unit apartment building is already half-leased. It features a rooftop internet lounge, dog washing station and bike storage. The ground-floor coffee shop will open later this summer.

People who use Wikipedia as their source of information need to know it's very subjective.

The 2017 population estimate for El Paso MSA is 908,000. It's not hard to find! Anyone who thinks Alburquerque is superior to El Paso has never visited either.
