None! That's why NYC is so great.

NYC is NYC.

Also, when you say NYC do you actually mean the 5 boroughs or just the Sex and the City NYC??

Every city has it good and bad. Why would you want another carbon copy of NYC?

Barcelona reminded me of NYC to some extent but that's not the US so it doesn't count I guess. I stayed in a 5 floor walkup building that looked like it could have been in Manhattan.

Philly and DC are vaguely NYC-esque to me, some similarities for sure but also a lot of differences. However, I'm referring to aesthetic appearance. Certain things that people think are characteristic of NYC (like diversity) are found in many other parts of the US. Even many suburbs in Middle America have blocks where there will be families of 5 different nationalities.

NYC is unique for sure. But you do get a bit of New York vibe in Chicago and Philly.
I also feel some New York vibe in Montreal, though of course that's not in the U.S.

No city matches the energy and urbanity of NY.

NYC of course, is in its own class above all American Cities. But some bits and pieces of it are mirrored in a few places, elsewhere, physically... Probably Philadelphia, more than most... The Rittenhouse Square area has a distinct Greenwich Village flavor (elegant rowhomes with many brownstones), while South Philly has a strong Brooklyn (and some Bronx) vibe to it with the tight streets and mish-mash rowhouses near honky-tonk businesses.

Hard to match, but I'd say a city mix of Chicago and Philly and on steroids, you'd have New York City.
