For FBI statistical purposes that death would not be counted against Pittsburgh.
Chicago is up to 30, a 30% increase over this point last year. But it's still comparatively better than the carnage of 2016 and 2017.
That will level off soon enough. Chicago will end this year even better than last. I'm personally praying for less than 450. I'd love for Chicago to go below 400 by 2025.

The shooting happened on the fine line between Pittsburgh and Penn Hills. Both municipalities have been fighting it out to determine who is responsible for that section of road. In the mean time the road is unfit for man or beast.
