Assuming NYC, LA, Chicago, DC, and SF are the country’s top 5 cities at the moment (based on cultural, political, and economical importance/contribution, etc.), than which city is #6?
*The top contenders in 2009 were Boston and Houston, but a lot can change in 10 years!
I thought Miami would be the odd one out. Denver and Phoenix were two that I almost included, but figured that people could pick “other” if they feel strongly about those.
Yeah, I think they all have good arguments. It’ll be interesting to see what folks say if anyone ends up taking the bait.
Boston. Huge role in education, medical research, tech, and other areas. It's also the largest depending on the measure you use.
As for Seattle, it's by far the smallest but belongs in this group due to its military role, seaports, tech leadership, global health and disease research (along with Atlanta, Boston, and others), and oversized corporate role.
Boston / Philadelphia (Very close)
Houston
Atlanta
Dallas
Miami
Seattle
