Sounder is only a commute-time and special event service. But you can take express buses to Seattle also -- and they're faster and take you all the way through DTS.

Yeah. I liked The Sounder. That was a fun train to ride but yea it was only good if you were commuting mornings, evenings or going to see the Seahawks. I think that train reaches 80 MPH on some stretches. I remember taking that to Downtown and Rendezvousing with Transit Tunnel to take a bus out of a subway station to Bellevue ... Transit Tunnel is a work of art. Really wish we had something comparable to it in Austin.

If I remember correctly Tacoma’s LRT was free. Not sure if that has changed or not.
