That reminds me, there was a time when I was much younger that I used to compare Georgia cities to the ones in Ohio: Atlanta to Cleveland, Columbus to Columbus, Savannah to Cincinnati, Macon to Toledo, and Augusta to Dayton.

Interesting. I can see the Atlanta/Cleveland and Savannah/Cincinnati comparisons from a more historical perspective.

It is North Carolina, similar population, similar poverty and crime levels, even Atlanta and Charlotte are similar in many ways, even similar size, the only difference I can think of is that Georgia's population is centered around Atlanta and North Carolina has Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, and Greensboro.
