- The State I Prefer is?
Preferred location: Texas
Brighter Future: Texas for me
Best Major Cities: I prefer Dallas,Fort Worth,Houston,San Antone, Austin and El Paso over Seattle
Best Secondary Cities: I dont know of many in Washington State but Texas for me.I prefer Abilene,Angelo,Lubbock,Waco,Amarillo,Midland,Odess a,Tyler, and Corpus more than the non-major cities in Washington State
Topography and Landscapes: Washington State because of the Cascades
Economy: Texas for me because I am in the fracking industry
Higher Education: Texas for me
I prefer the climates in Texas over Washington State.Washington State is too cold dark damp and rainy for me and way too cloudy.I pick Texas because I love scorching heat and sunny climates.
The State I prefer is: The Lone Star State.
Location: TX
Future: TX, but both are great
1st city: Tie
2nd city: Houston > Spokane
Land: WA, Mt Rainier > flat plains
Colleges: Rice > UWA
Weather: TX winters, WA springs and summers
Washington overall, no contest. I'm not sure how anyone can pick TX for "Brighter Future" with climate change looming large. ???
If one is amongst the top 5% of income earners in the country who can afford to live in Washington comfortably and not be relegated to some podunk town, I guess they would see it that way.

Right, but I'm not commenting on that at all. I am saying that unless you just ignore the evidence, and deleterious effects of climate change I do not know how anyone can pick TX with "Brighter future" as a criterion. To be clear, I love all of the US but TX is in a belt that will get hammered by these effects within most of our lifetimes. That saddens me, and makes WA the clear option regardless.
