Have you ever spent a spring living in DC? What are you talking about? Maybe you should zoom into the map?

Yes its similar to Atlanta but in DC where its much more dense, you have to go to lesser developed areas to see them. Most of my time was spent in the city core or in the suburbs.
Ive always said DC is very similar to Atlanta because it does have a lot of foilage andgreen

You're right about Atlanta having quite a variety of flowering trees and shrubs which makes spring an especially beautiful season in the city.

Going to the National Cherry Blossom Festival is on my bucket list. The one and only time I went to DC was in late April, so I just missed it by a few weeks.

Although Atlanta may have similar foliage to DC in the city it doesn't have anything like the tidal basin within its city limits. I really don't see how Atlanta would have anything within the city that would give it better natural scenery than D.C.

The Tidal Basin is beautiful but you cannot see it from every part of the city that is over 85 sq miles .
You can go down many streets and come across a hilly heavily wooded areas with towering oaks and pine trees mixed in with burst of color from the dogwoods.
Atlanta, because of the weather is greener longer during the year with short winters. The main reason Im not in DC other than the insane cost.

Just imagine DC without the basin and you can see how its extremely similar to Atlanta. Atlanta is much higher in elevation as its in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains compared to DC being at sea level.
