Flint, MI at 38 homicides until December 4th. A 36% decrease compared to the same period last year: link. The end result will probably be in the low 40s this year which is back to 'normal' for Flint compared to 67 for 2021 and 61 for 2020.
Portland hit a milestone that I don’t think any of us ever thought possible. 100 homicides. With that said the breakout is 95 “regular” homicides and 5 police involved killings. I know this doesn’t equal 100 murders, but 100 homicides nonetheless is still 100 homicides. It’s 100 people who lost their lives in what only a few short years ago was a city with an unusually low homicide rate.
St. Paul at 37 after two people were shot to death at 8:30 last night at the city's Central Station of the light rail line. Those are the second and third homicides at that station in the past 7 months.
