Also, United Airlined currently operates commuter service btwn SFO-Santa Rosa, one of the shortest commercial flights in the world, maybe we'll see SFO or San Jose-Stockton flights in the future?

This is why I would not want to live in Boise:

Feb 16, 2022

Boise 39F - cloudy and cold

Stockton 70F - Bright Sun, light breeze, clean air, a 45 minute drive-up the Sierras, Highway 88 or 4 you have all the snow you'll ever want with full sun and pleasant.

Ah, that sucks. Hopefully they get a lot more connecting ACE and San Joaquin services soon.

True, but then Boise is probably somewhat nicer in the summer and clean air isn't super common for Stockton. However, I do think there's a strong chance that'll get much better for Stockton within this decade.

The whole point of those flights to SFO was to feed that hub. San Jose has no hub so that will never happen.

There is a huge pilot shortage. This is hitting the 50 seat market hard. Don’t expect any expansion in either market with SFO so close by.

Yes the air out there is yucky. You can see it as you drive over the Altamont Pass on 580.

Not eBART! That thing seems ridiculous to me.

Something more like running ACE/Caltrain/San Joaquin and the like, basically all commuter/regional standard gauge rail systems, as a S-Bahn system with direct main terminal access to at least one if not all of the primary airports.

I can't imagine them being worse than California, unless you heartily enjoy mandates

I'm sure Boise has it's issues (every place does), but Cali was in the top 3 states who lost the most residents (despite those moving there) in 2021. That's pretty telling. I'm sure some of those residents ended up in Boise.

Well, despite have 39 million people and being infintely more densely populated than Idaho, California still managed to keep more folks alive proportionally speaking, so those mandates worked.

It's cheap and angry, white, middle-aged libertarians are moving there. Congrats.

Lol. Yes California is full of those types. Boise is attracting tech workers from the Bay Area and Seattle. Many work remotely, many work for tech companies in the city.
