Ironically Boston has more 400’+ buildings and 500’+ buildings than Philly..where are people getting this ‘info’ from?

Boston having one high rise?

It has 22 buildings over 500 feet and another one coming.

Yeah, I think Boston has more skyscrapers than Philly. Philly has the height advantage though. Boston’s tallest is only ~800ft.

I mean …it does. It’s a fact. But Philly has taller tall ones.

Philadelphia is more recognizable. There are more tall buildings, and they are more distinctive. Boston's buildings don't stand out.

Again… there are not more tall buildings in Philadelphia…this is not true and easily proven incorrect. I actually gave link up thread. It’s visible to the naked eye, at least mine.

I don’t know how buildings could possibly stand out any more than the three tallest buildings in the city being a mile away from the rest of the skyline…. and all being totally totally different architectural styles. It’s like people have never seen the Boston Skyline or at least not the entirety of it. Because this argument actually makes sense if you just look at FiDi.

Otherwise it just doesn’t add up.

EDIT: a quick google search confirmed. When you type in Boston skyline you won’t get the whole skyline.. just bits and pieces. I assume people are going to google before they post. Can’t find one image that gets the whole thing like the one I personally took.

Which I think is because you basically can’t find a picture of Bostons skyline online. Just parts of it. Hell it’s unrecognizable to me based off google.

There's also very little variety. Rectangle after rectangle after rectangle. And a dome.

Okay that’s fair. My point is just that the three super tall joints to the right are pretty identifiable due to their distance from the rest of the bulk of the skyline . Especially because they are all very different architecturally at a closer angle.

and you won’t find an image like this online anywhere. I search “Boston skyline” and it give me like 8 building at a time. And I’m like I definitely see why people think Philly has more tall buildings. Boston also not gridded worry many of the FiDi buildings simply aren’t visible due to the jumble I think. Not that it’s make a huge difference that part of the skyline is pretty bland.
