The East Coast of the US is dominant and impressive here on percentage share being spread evenly.
In honor of Chinese New Year, I thought I'd take the Chinese populations and break them down. The Census lumps all from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan as "Chinese" but they do break them down separately. When I do my breakdowns, I separate them. The numbers below are broken down by concentration of each group and how much they represent of the total "Chinese" population of the Urban Area. For example, the Mainland Chinese population of New York City's Urban Area is 83.2% of the total population of all that the census brands as "Chinese". Same deal, 5-year estimates from 2021 and by Urban Area. All over 30,000 are broken down.

I should have clarified that there are two differences between the sets of numbers:
1) Im using the 5-Year estimates instead of the 1-year
2) Im using Urban Area statistic instead of Metro Area. I find that Urban Areas are more reflective of what a person will encounter when visiting a place or what a resident will experience while living there.
Thank you for clarifying. The one with a larger number is the metro and lower number the urban area.

In California, it seems that HK is more SF while Taiwanese is more San Jose and SoCal.

The comparison is interesting especially because China is 98% of the population in of these three Chinese countries in Asia. Technically Macau/Singapore/Indonesia/Philippines/Thailand/Vietnam and Malaysia probably all contribute a decent amount of Chinese immigrants not to mention Australia/UK/Canada etc.
But of the measured 3 countries China is 98% of the population and 94% of the real GDP per PPP is probably 98% as well. It just goes to show how much Chinese immigration is positioned away from China the country.
