Inspired by the thread about which Southern cities have the most Northern influence, I thought I'd ask which West Coast city has the most East Coast influence. This is a tough one, but I think San Francisco has the most East Coast influence with it's architecture, infrastructure, and culture, even though San Diego has the most East Coast transplants.

It's very close between Seattle and San Francisco. Both have a slight Northeastern college feel. I think LA and San Diego are more Midwestern than Eastern in feel.
San Francisco is the only city west of the Mississippi with that dense, older east coast style urban form imo. While I do think San Diego has a higher percentage of east coast transplants I think they come to SD for the opposite of the east coast while they go to SF for something West Coast but still somewhat similar to the east coast. Also LA seems to have A LOT of east coast jews on the Westside and parts of the SF Valley. There are east coast Jewish style deli's there that you cannot find in the Bay Area, such as Canter's.
