Baton Rouge had the tallest building in the south in 1932 when HPL built the state capitol, doesn't mean its better than another skyline. But I like Hartford's more than San Antonio's.

The worst downtown is phoenix to me the downtown comes off pretty dull and non glamoriest but as far as the city itself it is a pretty area and a great city for people who have breathing problems so anyone reading this I hope this is benificial info for anyone moving to that city.

San Antonio also has great density, history, larger downtown street grid, has the oldest cathederal in the US, the San Fernando, and some of the oldest municipal city parks in the U.S. San Pedro Springs park right outside downtown is second oldest park after Boston Common. SA's central core is pretty historical, so is Hartford, that I know.

I know SA is historic, never challenged that.

Just to correct the record, Bushnell Park in Hartford is the oldest public park in the nation.
