Well southern cities in genearl get bashed I personally think they deserve it.
Houston- Anex to become larger, lack of zoning (60 story towers in neighborhoods), smog, lack of mass transit system, and sprawl.
Atlanta- awful city planning, terrible highway system , metro area includes all of north Georgia, Lack of population within Atlanta city limits, lack of mass transit system, and sprawl.
Dallas-Fort Worth -needs a regional mass transit system, sprawl, and to be truthful a big chunk of why DFW added more residents than any other metro area since 2000 is because FortWorth population explosion not Dallas.

Maybe some people like those towers in there neighborhood. Ok they annexed land, call the police!!! Lack of mass transit, some people like driving, and give them effort for working on there light-rail, so one day they will have good mass transit, rome wast built in a day.
Atlanta has some pretty nice highways. Ok whats wrong with north GA. Does ATL city limits really need to be big? Why does that make people angry? Marta is pretty good, and growing.
Dallas has pretty good mass transit in DART. Ok they annexed and the population grew. Why does that make one angry?

No one is angry, I just stated what these cities are lacking. Just so you know I am from and live in the DFW metro area and love it but I would be a fool to say DFW metropolitian area does not have its problems. Its called constructive criticism.
there is atleast one thread always open, started by a person from chicago comparing the skyline of chicago to nyc.
Then who's the Weird user that Started the Chicago vs LA Skyline Thread? What on earth was he thinking Obviously Chicago will win,It's like Comparing Crap to Greatness Who do you think is going to win,And LOl who voted for LA get your brain checked,Chicago has a true definition of a Skyline along with NYC.Chicago has a kick ass Skyline for a city with 2 million people and it Compares to NYC which has 8+ Million people.I Never knew about Chicago until I Actually went there last Summer.I Used to think Chicago would have a Skyline as a 2million city should(Houston) but hell no,It's a city with a skyline bigger than I Though and the Architecture is the Best I've seen. Now NY being a city with over 8+ mil,I Imaged NY Being a Skyscrapper City ,For some reason I'm not a big fan of NY, but It's a great City. Then Pueblo vs Chicago wtf,Does Pueblo even have a skyline?Sorry of topic..
Well on this forum, I think there are a lot of people who are silently jealous about the fact that Houston annexed land and thus is the 4th largest city. I admit it's unfair to cities that feel larger and it's unfair to Houston (because it has to try to live up to that standard). If you know anything about Houston though, you know it's a city that plays by its own rules. Then again, it's not Houston's fault that it wields that much power over its metro in terms of annexation though, and a lot of other cities are not in a position to do so.
